Self-betrayal — the ultimate power leak

Self-betrayal is the ultimate power leak. You are literally draining your own energy source. Betraying another only takes place when you have already betrayed (sabotaged) yourself. Similarly—not always, but many times—you cannot be betrayed by another unless you have already betrayed yourself on some level, no matter how small. Until you seal the leakage, you remain in a precarious position using what little energy you have to merely stay afloat. You are just surviving. Anxiety, depression and addiction are all signals you’ve strayed off course.

Many don’t realize thriving is an option. Seal off the power leak, and you strengthen your container. That container can then hold the massive amounts of power, imagination and life-force needed to create the life and relationship of your dreams, but you must first acknowledge that your dreams are possible, and most important, YOU ARE WORTHY of all that you wish and much, much more … This form of “loyalty” to self is the salve to heal the wounds born of betrayal.
